Peterborough loco depot, c. 1907. K Class locomotive 52 was the shunt engine for Peterborough. There was a bullet hole right on the 5 of the number; no one knew how it got there.

The Peterborough Loco depot prior to the building of the roundhouse, c. 1920. This photo is taken looking to the east (Railway Terrace to the right). The turntable was built behind the photographer. The smaller shed on the left remained when the roundhouse was built and was used as an oil and tool store.
