Mingary railway cottages, c. 1950s. Peterborough engineman Lionel Noble slept on the kitchen floor in the cottage to the far right after a derailment on the 444 up in 1947. Norm Youngman also there and Bill Kelly guard.
Mingary railway cottage, c. 1950s. Cottages of this type were used at Mingary, Olary, Mannahill, Winnininnie, Paratoo, Outalpa, Yunta and Nackara. They were also similar to those in Peterborough West.

This was the signalman hut from the Mingary yard and was used by diesel fitters when servicing the powerhouse at Mingary. This was photographed by the old Umberumaka – Radium Hill water main to the left hand side of the downtrack from Cockburn.
